Roadrunners Sweep Final Regular Season Homestand

ALBANY, Ore. - Freshman Desiree Tupua recorded  six service aces to lead Linn-Benton past Southwestern Oregon Community College on Friday, October 27. 

Linn-Benton's record improved to 28-0 overall and 13-0 in conference play while SWOCC moved to 13-12 and 7-6. 

The Roadrunners set the tone early in their 3-0 win against SWOCC. Set scores were 25-15, 25-14 and 25-17. After a 6-6 tie in the first set they lost the lead only once more early in the second set then pulled ahead and held strong for the rest of the match. 

The Beaks shared the load on offense as  four  players collected four  kills each, led by freshman Maddy Hellem and sophomore Grace Boeder, collecting an additional  eight kills apiece

The win marked the team's 21st 3-0 sweep of the season for LBCC. With only three  games left in regular season play the team celebrated their sophomore players after the win with a special ovation for the athletes in their final year with the team. 

LInn-Benton finished its regular season home schedule against Rogue Community College on Saturday, October 28 with a 3-0 victory over the Ospreys.
