ALBANY, OR – Roadrunner Freshmen Brooklyn Willard and Grace Luttrell shined in their home debut, leading the Linn-Benton Volleyball team to a doubleheader sweep, on Tuesday, August 29.
The Roadrunners defeated Big Bend Community College, and Green River Community College 3-0 respectively, improving to 6-0 on the season. The Vikings fell to 0-1 on the season, while the Gators moved to 0-2 on the season.
In game one, the Roadrunners took the 3 sets 25-11, 25-14, and 25-11.Willard led the Roadrunners with 14 digs, while tallying 4 kills. Sophomore teammate Grace Boeder led the offensive attack with 13 kills.
In game two, the Roadrunners defeated the Gators 25-13, 25-13, and 25-17. Willard finished with 10 kills, while Luttrell followed with 6.
Next up, the Roadrunners will stay home to take on Treasure Valley Community College on Wednesday, August 29. Match start time is set for noon, at the activities center on the Linn-Benton Albany Campus.
