EUGENE, Ore. — Linn-Benton easily downed Whatcom 72-57 in the final day of the Lane NWAC Crossover tournament Saturday afternoon behind 16 points from Natalia McBride.
The Roadrunners (7-2) also got 10 points apiece from Muriel Jones-Hoisington, Hallie Romig and Katelynn Weaver. BettyAnn Wilson had a team-high 12 rebounds to go with seven assists and five points for Linn-Benton, which shot forty percent from the field and outrebounded Whatcom 47-29.
On Friday's game, the Roadrunners dropped a 68-50 decision to Walla Walla. Wilson led Linn-Benton with 14 points, nine rebounds and four steals, while McBride and Jones-Hoisington chipped in nine points apiece. The Roadrunners struggled with just 27% shooting from the field against the Warriors.
Linn-Benton next hosts Columbia Basin on Thursday at 3 pm in the first game of a doubleheader against the Hawks, with the men's game set to tipoff at 5 pm.
