ALBANY, Ore. — Muriel Jones-Hoisington scored 17 points to lead Linn-Benton past Blue Mountain 58-43 in the Roadrunner Classic Saturday afternoon.
The Roadrunners (5-0) also got 13 points and five rebounds from all-Tournament selection Katelynn Weaver. Jones-Hoisington also recorded six rebounds, six steals and one blocked shot for Linn-Benton.
Linn-Benton trailed 18-15 after one quarter, but then held the Timberwolves to just four second quarter points to open up a 38-22 lead at the half.
Blue Mountain (2-4) got seven points and five rebounds from all-Tournament selection Kyella Picard.
In the first game, Yakima Valley (3-2) rolled past Mt. Hood 81-62.
