ALBANY, Ore. — Hallie Romig made two free throws with 0:07 remaining in the game to lift Linn-Benton past Yakima Valley 66-64 in Day One of the Roadrunner Classic Friday night.
The Roadrunners (4-0) were led by Katelynn Weaver with 14 points and eight rebounds and Muriel Jones-Hoisington with 12 points, six rebounds and two steals. Romig's two free throws were her only points on the night.
In the first game of the Classic, Blue Mountain defeated Mt. Hood 67-55.
The Classic continues Saturday afternoon with Yakima playing Mt. Hood at 2 pm, followed by Blue Mountain against Linn-Benton at 4 pm.
