ALBANY, OR – The Linn-Benton Women's Basketball team defeated Mt. Hood Community College 50-42 on Wednesday, Jan. 4.
The Roadrunners improved to 11-1 on the year, and 1-0 in the NWAC South Region. The Saints fell to 5-6 on the year, and 0-1 in league play.
Roadrunners' Brooklynn Hankwitz and Muriel Jones-Hoisington led all scorers with 14 points. Hankwitz finished with a double-double tallying 16 rebounds onto her point total. Jones-Hoisington shot 4-7 from the 3-point line.
"What worked well for me was crashing the glass and going for second chance opportunities," Hankwitz said.
Next up the Roadrunners stay home to take on Clark College on Saturday, Jan. 7. Tip-off is set for 2:00 P.M.
