Beaks Punch Ticket to NWAC Championships with 86-84 Win Over Clackamas

ALBANY, Ore. — Bennet Bos made a free throw with 0:03 remaining to help seal Linn-Benton's 86-84 victory over Clackamas in NWAC South Region men's basketball action Saturday afternoon.

With the win the Roadrunners (15-13, 9-7) secured the #3 seed from the South Region to the NWAC Basketball Championship Tournament next week in Pasco, Wash.

Michael Lundy led the Roadrunners with 19 points on 7-for-10 field goal shooting and also pulled down four rebounds. TJ Zimmermann and Bos had 17 points and 15 points, respectively. Zimmermann also had nine rebounds and six assists.

This is the second straight NWAC Championship Tournament appearance for Linn-Benton and head coach Todd Zimmermann. The Roadrunners will face Skagit Valley (#2 North) on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Columbia Basin College.
