ALBANY, Ore. — Linn-Benton overcame a five point halftime deficit to defeat Columbia Basin 77-74 in non-Conference NWAC men's basketball action Thursday afternoon.
TJ Zimmermann led the Roadrunners (6-3) with 21 points whle Liam Spencer added 17 points, six rebounds and three steals.
Kamana Lapina drained a three-pointer with 12:31 left in the second half to tie the game at 57 and helped spark the Roadrunners to a five point lead with just over nine minutes remaining.
The Hawks battled back to take a 74-73 with 0:38 left, but Spencer countered with a three-pointer to put Linn-Benton back on top 76-74.
The Roadrunners are off until the Clackamas Holiday Tournament December 28-30.
