ALBANY, Ore. — TJ Zimmermann scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Linn-Benton past Blue Mountain 65-64 Wednesday night in non-Conference NWAC men's basketball action.
Zimmermann hit two free throws with 0:21 left to give the Roadrunners (5-3) a 63-61 lead.
After trailing most of the game, Blue Mountain took a 60-59 lead with just 1:27 remaining. Zimmermann's free throws and a steal and layout by Liam Spencer sealed the win for Linn-Benton.
Cade Smith added 12 points and Bennet Bos had 10 points for the Roadrunners.
Linn-Benton hosts Columbia Basin Thursday at 5:00 pm in the second game of a doubleheader with the Hawks. The women's game tips off at 3:00 pm.
