Beaks Split at CBC Invitational

PASCO, Wash. - Linn-Benton held off a late rally from Spokane to defeat the Sasquatch 78-69 in day two of the Columbia Basin College Invitational Saturday afternoon.

The Roadrunners (4-3) had four players score in double figures, led by Cade Smith with 22 points, Liam Spencer with 18 points and Bennet Bos with 17 points. TJ Zimmermann also chipped in 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Linn-Benton. Bos also led the Roadrunners with 10 rebounds.

On Friday night, the Roadrunners struggled to score in the second half en route to a 72-46 loss to host Columbia Basin. After matching the Hawks for 34-34 halftime tie, Linn-Benton only scored 12 second half points, shooting just 18 percent from the field. 

Bos led the Roadrunners with 14 points and five rebounds.

Linn-Benton is off until it hosts Blue Mountain on Wednesday, December 20, followed by Columbia Basin the following afternoon.
