Beaks Drop Games to Ranked Teams at Clackamas Invite

OREGON CITY, Ore. — Linn-Benton faced three of the top-ranked teams in the NWAC at the Clackamas Holiday Invitational this week, dropping all three games to end the non-Conference schedule for the Roadrunners. 

Linn-Benton (5-8) opened with a 114-95 loss to Edmonds, who received votes for an NWAC Top Ten ranking in the latest coaches poll. Ayden Foster led the Roadrunners with 22 points and five rebounds, while TJ Zimmermann and Tyson Parker scored 20 and 19 points, respectively. Zimmermann also added a game high 14 rebounds.

On Thursday, #8 Walla Walla squeaked past the Roadrunners 76-72. Zimmermann posted 18 points and 10 rebounds and Foster added 16 points and 13 rebounds.

In Friday's finale, Linn-Benton dropped an 88-63 decision to #3 Green River. Zimmermannn scored a game high 27 points and added seven rebounds.

The Roadrunners open up South Region play Wednesday against Mt. Hood at 7:30 pm. This game, along with the women's game at 5:30 pm, has been changed from Mt. Hood to Linn-Benton
