Linn-Benton Men Fall at Portland

PORTLAND, Oregon – The Linn-Benton Men's Basketball team lost 92-84 to Portland Community College on Saturday, Feb. 26. 

The Roadrunners fell to 3-17 on the year, and 1-12 in the NWAC South Region. The Portland Panthers improved to 12-10 on the season, and 5-7 in the NWAC South Region. 

The Roadrunners entered the game looking to get even with the Panthers, after losing their first matchup on Jan. 29. in a wire-to-wire game. 

Roadrunner Ayden Foster started the game hot, scoring 16 of the runners 33 first half points.  The Roadrunners struggled from the three-point line, shooting 0-12 in the first half. The Panthers also saw themselves struggle from the three-point line in the first half, shooting 0-8. 

The second half featured more offense from both teams. After going scoreless in the first half, Roadrunner Kye Blaser contributed a big second half. Blaser shot 6-9 from the field, and 3-5 in the second half, finishing the game with 17 points. Although it wasn't enough as the Panthers were able to secure a double-digit lead for most of the second half. 

Panther Trevon Richmond and the Roadrunners Foster led all scorers with 24 points each. 

Next up the Roadrunners travel to take on Lane Community College on March, 2. Tip-off is set for 7:30 at 4000 E 30th Ave, Eugene.
