Roadrunners Complete Series Sweep of Clackamas

ALBANY, OR – Aidan Dougherty extended his hitting streak to 12 games, and the Roadrunners swept their four game series against Clackamas Community College on Saturday, April 29. 

The Roadrunners improved to 26-14 on the year, and 21-11 in the NWAC South Region. The Cougars fell to 10-30 on the year, and 5-23 in the NWAC South Region. 

In game one, the Roadrunners defeated the Cougars 4-2. Roadrunners Brady Baltus (5-2) continued to pitch well, going 8 strong innings, surrendering 2 earned runs, on 5 hits, walking 1, while striking out a career high 10. Baltus improved his season ERA to 3.54, while exhibiting a 2.54 ERA in his last 4 starts. Kellan Oakes closed out the game, securing his first save of the year. 

In game two, the Roadrunners defeated the Cougars 4-2. The beaks offense got started early picking up 3 runs in the bottom half of the first. Durham Sundberg and Titus Dumitru both went 2-3, with an RBI respectively. Kaden Miller picked up the win, improving his record to 4-3 on the year. Miller threw his second consecutive complete game going 7 innings, with 2 unearned runs, on 5 hits, 2 walks, while striking out 4. 

The Roadrunners stay on the tail of the first place Lane Titans in the NWAC South Region. The Roadrunners will close out their regular season with a four-game series against Southwestern Oregon Community College, starting on Thursday May 4. First pitch is set for 1:00 p.m. in Coos Bay.
