The Early Years: 1969-1979

Kyle Dunning, Baseball 1977-79

Dunning was a pitcher for the Roadrunners from 1977-79 and helped lead LB to the NJCAA Tournament in 1978 and 1979. He earned all-OCCAA and Region 18 honors and was a NJCAA Honorable Mention all-American.

Dunning was drafted twice in the third round by the Los Angeles Dodgers, and eventually signed with the Detroit Tigers after a career at Oregon State University. Dunning went 8-2 with a 2.81 ERA his first year with the Beavers, and was the team's MVP.

After baseball he made a career in the financial industry, including serving as First Vice President and Financial Consultant with RBC Dain Rauscher in Corvallis.

Dunning was inducted into the NWAC Hall of Fame in 2002.
