ALBANY, Ore. — Brooklyn Willard had 16 kills and 12 digs to lead Linn-Benton past Clark in NWAC South Region volleyball action Wednesday night. The Roadrunners improved to 29-0 overall and 15-0 in South Region play.
Clark pushed the Roadrunners in the third set, evening the score at 22-22 before Linn-Benton regrouped to finish the match.
Grace Luttrell had ten kills and Maddy Hellem and Rowan Reilly each had six kills for the Roadrunners, who last Friday cliniched their fourth consecutive South Region title with a 3-0 win over SW Oregon. Willard led the way hitting .600, while Luttrell hit .571 and the Roadrunners overall hit .384 on the night. Hellem led the team with 16 digs.
Meah Carley had 27 assists for Linn-Benton and Avery Hughes contributed 16 assists.
The Roadrunners finish regular season play Friday as they host Lane. Linn-Benton will host the NWAC Championships South Regional November 16-17; participating teams are yet to be finalized.
