ALBANY, Ore. — Despite 29 points and 14 rebounds from Katelynn Weaver, Treasure Valley defeated Linn-Benton 68-62 in non-conference NWAC women's basketball action Friday night.
The Roadrunners (4-3) cut the lead to 64-62 after Weaver sank two free throws with 0:17 left in the game, but Treasure Valley made four straight free throws in the final 0:12 to seal the victory.
Linn-Benton outrebounded Treasure Valley 51-44 and forced 18 Chukar turnovers. Natalia McBride scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Roadrunners, and Kylee Baumgartner added eight points and 10 rebounds. Lidia Jacobsen contributed seven points off the bench, including 3-of-6 shooting from behind the three point line.
The Roadrunners next travel to the Whatcom Crossover tournament December 13-15.
