COOS BAY, Ore. - The Linn-Benton Community College men's basketball team played their way into a lead late, but were unable to hang on as the Southwestern Oregon Community College Lakers rallied to claim the 80-79 victory.
The Roadrunners (12-17, 7-9) took a double-digit lead into the final ten minutes of play, but relinquished the lead with just seconds to play. Mykah Mendoza was the top scorer for Linn-Benton with 26 points on 9-14 shooting from the field while making all eight of his free throws.
The SWOCC Lakers (21-8, 10-6 NWAC South) went to their bench as reserve Connor Wilson scored 18 points in 18 minutes in the winning effort. They will be the fourth seeded team from the NWAC South Region and advance to the NWAC Men's Basketball Tournament.
This marks the final game of the 2024-25 season for the Roadrunners.
