The Roadrunners look to finish strong at SWOCC

Roadrunners Come Up Short at Clark

VANCOUVER, Wash. - The Linn-Benton Community College men's basketball team fought hard on the road, but a late run by Clark Community College was too much to overcome as the Roadrunners were defeated 92-80.

The Roadrunners (12-16, 7-8 NWAC South) used a hot shooting first half to take a 47-46 lead into the halftime break. The game remained close, but the Penguins (19-8, 11-4 NWAC South) were able to take a 78-72 lead, then used back-to-back 3-point makes to double their lead with just three minutes left to play.

Linn-Benton was led by Liam Spencer with a game high 32 points. Cade Smith had an efficient night, scoring 15 points while going 7-9 from the field. Jackson Esary scored 24 points to pace the Clark attack.

The Roadrunners will wrap up their regular season on the road this Wednesday, February 26th at Southwestern Oregon Community College. That contest is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
