Roadrunners Quiet Storm on Sophomore Day

ALBANY, Ore. - A balanced attack featuring five players in double figure scoring led the Linn-Benton men's basketball team to an 89-70 victory over Chemeketa Community College on Saturday. 

 

Leading by just five points at halftime, 43-38, the home team turned up the defense in the second half, holding Chemeketa to just 31% shooting from the field and 11% from 3-point range.

 

For the Roadrunners (12-15, 7-7 NWAC South) Liam Spencer scored 17 points in the contest, Cade Smith had 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists while Cedric Barnes posted a double-double with 15 points and a team high 14 rebounds.

 

Cooper Goble had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Storm (8-19, 3-12 NWAC South) while Gabe Wiggington chipped in with 17 points.

 

The Roadrunners will head to Clark College today, February 24th, for a matchup with Clark College at 7:30 PM. This game was rescheduled due to weather.
