ALBANY, Ore. — Fred Harding IV scored 18 points and George Sadi added 17 to lead Linn-Benton past visiting Mt. Hood 77-75 in overtime in NWAC South Region men's basketball action Wednesday night.
The Roadrunners (1-2) went up 77-73 on Harding's rebound-tip dunk with 0:34 left in overtime. Mt. Hood (0-1) had a chance to win but Tanner Scanlan's 3-point attempt missed at the buzzer.
The game was close from wire to wire and had 13 ties and nine lead changes. Linn-Benton led 34-28 at halftime.
The Roadrunners outrebounded the Saints 35-32. Kye Blaser added 14 points for the Roadrunners. Aurdric Sandoval led the Saints with 20 points.
Linn-Benton hosts Mt. Hood again on Satuday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
