PORTLAND, Ore. — Linn-Benton Community College pulled to within three points with 8.3 seconds left, but Portland held on to win 76-72 in NWAC South Region men's basketball action Saturday evening.
The loss dropped LBCC's record to 9-16 overall and 3-9 in the NWAC South. Portland improved to 13-9, 9-4.
Kadeem Nelson led the Roadrunners with 26 points on 11-for-18 shooting and added five rebounds and five assists. Kyree Davis added 23 points and 10 rebounds and Fred Harding IV had 10 points and eight rebounds.
LBCC hosts SW Oregon Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
