ALBANY, Ore. — Logan Hanson scored on bases loaded wild pitch in the bottom of 7th inning to lift Linn-Benton Community College past visiting Lane Community College 4-3 in the night cap of Friday afternoon's doubleheader at Dick McClain Field.
The Roadrunners won game one 8-5 with Daniel Ferrario earning the win on the mound, striking out seven batters in six and two-thirds innings.
The sweep improved LBCC's record to 6-0 in NWAC Southern Region play and 16-5 overall. Lane dropped to 6-2 and 12-10.
Austen Carpenter pitched a complete game in the second game, striking out nine batters and giving up four hits.
SCHEDULE NOTE: Saturday's doubleheader at Lane has been moved up to a 9:00 a.m. start for game one.
