The Early Years: 1969-1979
Jeff Dumont, Baseball 1979-80
Dumont was a standout second baseball for Linn-Benton, and helped lead the Roadrunners to the NJCAA World Series in 1980. LB also won the Region 18 title and Dumont earned all-OCCAA honors.
Dumont originally went to Brigham Young University after graduating from West Albany High School, but transferred to LB for the 1979-80 school year.
Dumont was a good contact hitter with a high on-base percentage. He also was considered an excellent fielder who turned many double plays. He went on to play baseball at Southern Utah State where he earned all-Conference honors as an infielder.
Dumont has worked for many years at Nike.
Dumont was inducted into the NWAC Hall of Fame in 2005.
