3rd Annual Blue & Gold Celebration Set for June 11, 2019

The 3rd Annual Roadrunner Athletics Blue & Gold Celebration will take place Tuesday, June 11, 2019 in the LBCC Commons in Calapooia Center. The reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and our inspiring program.

This event raises money to support Roadrunner teams and student-athletes. Your support provides critical resources to ensure we provide every student-athlete with an outstanding experience focused on academic and athletic success.

Tickets are $50 per person; a table of eight for $350, and $25 for 18 and under. Please consider sponsoring a ticket for one of our current student-athletes for $25. This will ensure all of our student-athletes can attend this celebratory event.

We will also be hosting a special Golden Ticket Drawing for some outstanding prizes, including getaways, golf, wine tasting and more! Only 100 Golden Tickets will be sold. We will be releasing information on each Golden Ticket prize in the weeks leading up to the event.

Mike Parker

Voice of the OSU Beavers and
Co-Host of the Joe Beaver Show on KEJO 1240 AM

Mike Parker is entering his 20th season calling Oregon State football, men’s basketball and baseball action. He has been behind the microphone for some of the school’s crowning achievements on the athletic fields, including three baseball national championships, multiple bowl games, and serves as the master of ceremonies for numerous events on and off the OSU campus. He and Jon Warren also host the Joe Beaver Show locally on KEJO Radio and the popular Beaver Sports Podcast that updates weekly during the athletic seasons.

The “voice of the Beavers” is a 1982 graduate of the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in rhetoric and communications. His broadcasting career includes play-by-play for football, basketball and baseball for high school sports in Oregon, beginning in 1977. He was the voice of the Eugene Emeralds (1983-86) minor league baseball club and the Oregon women’s basketball program (1983-87). He also was the play-by-play voice of the AAA Portland Beavers from 1987-92.

Parker hosted a show on all-sports KFXX Radio from 1990-95 before moving to KEX Radio as host of Sportsline and the Fifth Quarter program following Portland Trail Blazers games. Parker has been named the Oregon Sportscaster of the Year six times. Mike and his wife Missy have two daughters, Lydia and Ellie.

We will be conducting a modified Golden Ticket Drawing at this year's event. Lucky winners who have their tickets drawn will win their choice of any remaining prizes. Tickets are just $25, or five (5) tickets for $100 (limited quantity), and available during online registration or at the event.
