LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Linn-Benton defeated Edmonds 3-1 and Skagit Valley 3-0 at the NWAC Volleyball Championship Saturday to advance to Sunday's championship match.
The Roadrunners (31-2) will play at 1:00 pm Sunday against the winner of Sunday's 10:00 am match. Skagit Valley will play the winner Saturday night's match between Lane and Pierce.
The Championship tournament is a double-elimination event, so the Roadrunners could have a second Championship match should they lose the first one Sunday.
Shelbey Nichol (11 kills), Shalyn Gray (11) and Taya Manibusan (10) led the Roadrunners' offensive attack in the semifinal match versus Skagit Valley. Sydnie Johnson recorded 23 assists for the match. Jade Hayes had 24 digs and three service aces for Linn-Benton.
