ALBANY, Ore. — TJ Zimmermann scored 29 points and grabbed a game-high 21 rebounds to lead Linn-Benton past Umpqua 102-82 in the men's NWAC South Region opener for both teams.
The Roadrunners (7-6, 1-0 in NWAC South) also got 20 points each from Bennet Bos and Davion Burdette. The duo was a combined 14-25 on field goal attempts and helped Linn-Benton to shoot 56% as team for the game, including 52% from three-point range.
The Roadrunners also outrebounded the Riverhawks 49-32.
Linn-Benton has a bye Saturday but returns to NWAC South Region play next Wednesday at Southwestern Oregon.
