Roadrunners Split Saturday Games With Clark

ALBANY, Oregon – The Linn-Benton Roadrunners split their double-header 4-1, 2-6 against Clark Community College on Saturday, March. 26. 

The Roadrunners moved to 12-4 on the season, and the Penguins moved to 10-6 on the season. 

In game 1 Linn-Benton won 4-1. Roadrunner Rhett Larson picked up the win, allowing 1 run on 5 hits in 6 innings of work. 56 of Larson's 69 pitches were strikes. Kaden Siegel picked up the save pitching 3.0 innings only allowing 1 hit. Roadrunners Jake Hoskins and Emiliano Alarcon both knocked in two runs respectively. 

"I just trust my stuff you know, I got a good catcher behind the plate and good defense," Larson said. 

In game 2 the Penguins won 6-2. Cade Reitzenstein picked up the win for the Penguins. Reitzenstein had 4 strikeouts in 4 scoreless innings of work. Two costly errors by the Roadrunners allowed two runs to score for the Penguins late in the game. Roadrunners Jake Morrow and Kyle Perkins both picked up RBI's in the loss. 

Next up the Roadrunners will stay home to take on Clark Community College and Centralia Community College on Sunday, March. 27. Game one first pitch is set for 10:00 a.m. and game two first pitch is set for 4:00 p.m at Dick McClain Field, 500 Pacific Blvd SW, Albany, OR.
