ALBANY, Ore. - Linn-Benton swept Clackamas, 5-0 and 6-3, in a non-conference doubleheader Sunday afternoon at LB's Dick McClain Field.
In game one, Emiliano Alarcon had two hits and an RBI and Jake Hoskins had a hit and two RBIs to lead the Roadrunners (11-3, 0-0) in a game that was scoreless until the bottom of the seventh inning. Linn-Benton scored all five of its runs in the seventh inning.
Reliever Jack Muth earned the win for Linn-Benton, pitching three innings, giving up one hit and striking out two.
In the nightcap, Clackamas tied the game at 3-3 in the fourth inning, but the Roadrunners took the lead back in the eight inning when Michael Soper scored on a bases-loaded balk. Linn-Benton scored two more runs in the inning for the final margin.
Ruben Cedillo had a pinch hit single in the eighth, sccoring two runs for the Roadrunners.
Kaden Segel pitched two no hit innings and had two strikeouts, earning the win on the mound.
Linn-Benton next hosts Clark Saturday in a non-Conference doubleheader.
