Roadrunners Sweep First Day of Series with Clackamas

OREGON CITY, Ore. — Linn-Benton Community College swept a doubleheader from Clackamas, 4-0 and 11-1, in NWAC Southern Region baseball action Friday afternoon. 

The wins improved the Roadrunners' record to 18-4 in the NWAC South and 28-9 overall. Clackamas dropped to 5-17 and 8-30 overall. 

In game one, starter Daniel Ferrario pitched six innings, striking out ten, to earn the win for the Roadrunners. Colton Talton, Maxwell Long and Logan Hanson each collected two hits for Linn-Benton, while Jacob Melton notched a double and two RBIs.

Starter Austen Carpenter earned the win in the nightcap, giving up just one hit in his five inning complete game. 

Fridtjof Fremstad went 3-for-4 to lead Linn-Benton offensively.

The Roadrunners host Clackamas Saturday in the regular season finale. The first game is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
