Roadrunners Win Two in Bottom of the Last Inning versus Clark

ALBANY, Ore. — Linn-Benton Community College survived late rallies by Clark in both games of today's doubleheader, scoring the winning run in the bottom of the ninth innings to sweep the Penguins 11-10 and 5-4 in NWAC Southern Region baseball action Wednesday afternoon.

The wins kept LBCC undefeeated in NWAC play at 10-0 and 20-5 overall. Clark dropped to 2-4 and 13-15 overall.

Richard Mascarenas led the Roadrunners with five hits and four RBIs on the afternoon, going 3-for-5 in game one and 2-for-3 in the nightcap. 

Nolan Jackson earned the win on the mound for the Roadrunners in game one in five innings of work. Derek Lee notched the win in the second game.

Linn-Benton next travels to Mt. Hood on Thursday in a doubleheader moved up from Friday to beat forecasted rain. The first game is slated to start at 4:00 p.m.
