Hot Titan Bats Propel Tacoma Past Roadrunners 13-5

ALBANY, Ore. — Tacoma Community College belted 11 hits, including three home runs, to defeat Linn-Benton 13-5 in game one of a scheduled double-header non-Conference NWAC action Sunday.

The win improved Tacoma's record to 13-2 on the season. The Roadrunners fall to 8-4.

For the Titans, RJ Green hit a solo shot over the right field fence in the third inning, cutting the Roadrunners' lead to 2-1. Brock Gagliardi and Kenton Robillard each blasted three-run homers in the 5th and 7th innings, respectively, that opened up what was a close game through four innings. 

Richard Mascarenas, Parker Kuntz and Jacob Melton each collected two hits for the Roadrunners, who also tallied 11 total hits for the game. Eric Hill (1-1) took the loss for Linn-Benton.

Josh Vitus earned the win for the Titans.
